St.Vitus Cathedral with St.Wenceslas Chapel dominates the third Courtyard of Prague Castle. The cathedral is the biggest of all Prague's churches. It is 124m long and its greatest width is 60 m. The height of the cathedral up to the vault is 33 m. The monumental Gothic cathedral was founded on the side of former Romanesque basilica by Charles IV in 1344. The underground floor is the site of the royal mausoleum of Czech kings. The Czech coronation Jewels are deposited in the Crown Chamber. With Prague Card you can enter free mausoleum, choir and tower of the cathedral.
